Hiking on the "Camino de la Trocha", the path of the Cork Cutters to the Captains Gorge. A path with amazing views over the bay of Algeciras, bizarre rock formations and archaeological sites

garganta capitan 002Our tour begins outside the city of Algeciras and leads us first uphill through the cork oak forest with its characteristic bizarre rock formations, passing goat farms, interesting archaeological sites and with a fantastic view over the strait of Gibraltar.
Finally the path descends to the "Garganta del Capitán", the Captains Gorge, with its rock pools, inviting us to bathe in them when the weather is good; passing old mills and back to the starting point.
