 Ascent to Jbel Moussa\,&nbsp\;the counterpart to the Rock of Gibraltar on 
 the African side. The 'Pillars of Hercules' guard the entrance to the Medi
 terranean. Travelling from Algeciras to Ceuta by helicopter\n\nOn many of 
 our hikes\, we see the two impressive rocky mountains right on the Strait 
 of Gibraltar. They form an important landmark for us hikers in the mountai
 ns of Andalusia. When we are hiking in Tarifa we are right opposite Jbel M
 oussa\, only 14 kilometres separate us from the African continent. This ti
 me we are drawn across to the other side.\nThere is a regular helicopter c
 onnection from Algeciras to Ceuta\, the Spanish enclave on Moroccan soil\,
  and we take advantage of this offer and the opportunity to get to know Ce
 uta better. Two nights in the Parador Hotel\, with a city tour and a walk 
 before dinner on the first day and a walk on the beach on the day before d
 eparture are available to us.\nThe day after our arrival\, we climb Jbel M
 oussa.\nTHE ROUTE UP TO THE JBEL MOUSSA\nThe path is rocky and partly stee
 p\, but we should have enough time to take it easy. It's a circular route
