Casares, on the footsteps of Julius Caesar

From the Roman baths to Casares, one of the most picturesque white village of Andalusia
The hike starts and ends at the "Baños Romanos", a very old sulphur source, where the legend says that even Julius Caesar already has had a healing bath there. If you follow his steps you will experience a pretty strong smelling, but very refreshing and healthy bath, in the most unusual historical place in the middle of nowhere.
Passing a gorge with spectacular rock-formations and old mills in the valley, high up to the famous white village of Casares and up to the castle, with a fantastic view over the coast.
At the village square you can then strengthen yourself with tapas and refreshments, and watch the serene village life, before we had back down to the Roman Bath.
