Los Riscos, the rock-formations of Cartajima
A short but impressive hike through a karstic rock landscape in the Ronda Mountain range
Our tour begins near the "blue village" Juzcar and leads us up to a spectacular landscape of bizarre rock formations caused by millions of years of erosion.
Similar to the famous Torcal of Antequera, it has it's begining is the Jurassic, caused by tectonic plates movements, the rocks have risen from the sea, wind and rain have contributed to finish these art-works of nature. As a complement to this wonderful landscape, this walk offers amazing views to the Sierra de las Nieves and over the valley of the Genal river. Finally we visit the village of Juzcar, where we can try some local tapas.
