From up there he could send smoke signals to the castle that towers over the village when an enemy was approaching. The view extends over the Stra it of Gibraltar to Africa and the mountain ranges in the hinterland.\nThe way up is steep but well prepared\, taking our time and a little determina tion it is quite feasible\, the reward is a wonderful view. From the top w e continue over the ridge\, between rocks and oaks on a circular path back down\, through a cork forest back to the pretty village of Gaucín.
