We first visit the archaeological site, which perches on a ridge near Ronda. Due to its strategic location and the fertility of the surrounding farmland, Acinipo was an important city in Roman times. At almost 1000 meters above sea level, we can enjoy an incredibly impressive panoramic view around Acinipo.
From there we walk on country lanes through olive groves, farmland and small oak forests on a gently undulating and very easy to walk way to Setenil de las Bodegas.
The village of Setenil is famous for its unique houses, carved in natural rocky outcrops in the middle of the town. We take the time to visit the village and enjoy a break with tapas or a lunch (optional and not included) before returning.
Easy - 10 km, linear, about 3 hours, plus about half an hour to visit the ruins of Acinipo.
