Istán, Cañada del Infierno

Beautiful route with incredible views. Between the Sierra Blanca and the Sierra de las Nieves, from Istán, El Coto, Nacimiento del Río Molinos, through the Cañada del Infierno and the Puerto de los Barrancones.

Our circular route starts and ends in the village of Istán. Before we reach the route of the Cañada del Infierno we pass the Coto de Istán, along a very pleasant path along the old irrigation channels to the source of the river Molinos. Soon the ascent begins on a mountain path, in parts quite rocky and steep, but in general it is a good path. We go around the valley with beautiful views of the landscape, towards the peaks of the Sierra de las Nieves and in the lower part, passing the mountain pass of Barrancones, over the village. On the way back to the village we can enjoy some tapas in the village.
