The drive to Gaucin is already beautiful and offers fantastic views. Before we visit the bodega, we hike on easy, good paths in the surrounding area. Our path leads past old oak trees, farmhouses, rugged rocky mountains on one side and a lovely, wide landscape on the other. A via ferrata starts right next to our path and, with a bit of luck, we can watch the incredibly agile climbers scaling the steep walls like mountain goats.
The subsequent visit to the wine bodega takes about 2 hours, we visit the vineyard, the bodega and learn all about cultivation and wine production. The wine tasting is the crowning glory of our visit, the wine is accompanied by small appetisers with cheese and sausage from the area, this is not lunch! Before visiting the bodega, we take a break with plenty of time to eat the food we have brought with us.
easy – 5 km - 2-3 hours, plus plus the visit to the vineyard
