Jimena - Roman Road, viewpoints, Forest and River
This route has got it all, from historical monuments, to a great variety of trees and plants, stunning views over the river bed and amazing rock formations
Our route starts and ends at the village Jimena de la Frontera, we visit the Moorish Castle and leave the villago over a roman path, along the E4, a European long distance trail. Pasing through Pine Forest and Cork Forest, with many viewpoints in between, overlooking the valley of the Hozcargata river, carving his way through huge rocks and forests.
At the highest point of the route, after about 6,6km, we abandone the E4 and head down to the river and after crossing, we follow the river downstream back towards the village.
