A circular hike through a Pinsapo forest to the summit of the Sierra Bermeja, the red mountains behind Estepona
This beautiful hike takes us through a Forest, where we ge to know the Pinsapo tree (Spanish fir), a botanical rarity, to Los Reales, the highest peak of the Sierra Bermeja, the "Red Mountains". From 1,449 meters above sea-level, with a view down to the coast, the town of Estepona and across to Africa. In the north you can see the rugged mountains of the Serrania de Ronda and hidden therein, small villages. The first part goes uphill, but is well worth the effort, the views are simply spectacular.
