Lacipo, the Roman Ruins of Casares

Circular walk across meadows, fields, old olive trees, forest flowering bushes to a historical site, with fantastic views, over an old Roman Bridge to the picturesque white village of Casares
Just a few kilometres from the coast, near one of the most classic white villages of Andalusia, are the ruins of the original Roman village of Lacipo, hidden among rocks and olive trees. Except for a few short rocky and steep sections, our path is easy and pleasant to walk, passing farms and cattle pastures. As a reward for the short climb, we can enjoy a beautiful view from Lacipo, from the surrounding mountains and mountain villages to the Strait of Gibraltar.
At the end we walk to Casares, where we have the opportunity to eat tapas in a bar in the village square
