Ascent to Pico Los Reales, starting on the south side, with an incredible view over Estepona, the coast and the strait, connected with the famous path through the Pinapo fir forest

There are several ways to climb the Pico Los Reales (1,452 m). On this occasion we choose the ascent from Loma del Infierno along the road between Estepona and Puerto de Peñas Blancas. From the beginning of our route we have a great panoramic view and foresight, especially on "poniente" (west wind) days.

For a short distance the path follows a fire break, but before we reach the steepest slope of the hill, we turn onto a pleasant path that leads into the forest and easily follows the creek bed of the Arroyo del Infierno and the Arroyo del Abrón.

Soon we will reach the classic path through the Pinsapo forest, the "Paseo de los Pinsapo". From there we climb up the Los Realillos path to the summit of Los Reales. The descent leads back down to our starting point via a partly rocky path..
