Rio de la Miel, the Honey River at the Cork Forest
The Río de la Miel is part of the El Bujeo Cloud Forest, an amazing ecosystem within the Los Alcornocales cork-forest. We walk on the path of the Cork Cutters in the forest and along the river
If you want to discover Andalusias most special and unknown places, this tour will fascinate you. It takes us along a river with the most amazing lush green vegetation, clear water and inviting pools to swim in. We walk through the cork forest, almost always in the shade. Following a small path over a Roman Bridge, winding it's way through big rocks, passing waterfalls and lush vegetation.
The upper part of the path is quite a jungle and requires a bit of adventure spirit, walking over rocks and through the riverbed, but it is 100% worth the effort.
